Despite not getting on the scoresheet, striker Prince Dube was named Man of the Match following Yanga's impressive 3-0 victory over Azam FC at the New Amaan Complex in Zanzibar.
Dube delivered an outstanding performance and was directly involved in two of Yanga's three goals.
His cross in the 41st minute was headed into the net by defender Ibrahim Bacca to open the scoring. Later, in the 81st minute, Dube's shot struck the post before he followed up with another effort that was saved by goalkeeper Zuberi Foba, allowing Pacome Zouzoua to pounce on the rebound and score Yanga's third goal.
Yanga head coach Abdihamid Moalin started both Dube and Depu in attack, a decision that paid off as Dube consistently troubled the Azam FC defense throughout the match.
While he continues to work on rediscovering his scoring touch, Dube's creativity and ability to create chances proved invaluable in helping Yanga secure a crucial victory.
His overall contribution and influence on the game earned him the Man of the Match award.
