Following an important 2-0 victory over Mashujaa FC yesterday, Yanga’s squad has returned to Dar es Salaam today before heading to Arusha for their next fixture against Fountain Gate, scheduled for Wednesday, June 17 at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium.
Yanga’s Media and Communications Manager Ali Kamwe confirmed that the team will be given a one-day rest before traveling to Arusha.
Kamwe said the club is approaching the Fountain Gate match with great caution, as they aim to secure maximum points and move closer to a fifth consecutive league title.
"Fountain Gate is a strong team. I watched them play against Azam FC even though they lost. We are going to Arusha with great caution, fully aware of the type of opponent we are going to face," Kamwe said.
With four matches remaining, Yanga need at least 10 points to secure yet another league title, which would be their fifth in a row.
