Yanga SC’s squad continues its preparations ahead of crucial matches that will conclude both the NBC Premier League and the CRDB Cup season.
Yanga, who are the defending champions of these competitions, are focused on ensuring the titles remain in Jangwani for a fifth consecutive season.
It is a busy week for the team, as from Saturday, June 13, there will be no more time for preparation due to the close scheduling of matches.
Over a span of 17 days starting June 13, Yanga will play six matches, averaging one game every three days.
Coaches Abdilhamid Moalin and Patrick Mabedi will use this week to complete key preparations to ensure players are ready for the demanding schedule ahead.
There is no room for error, as any results other than wins in upcoming matches could benefit their rivals Simba in the league title race.
Yanga will be in a strong position to defend their title if they collect at least 13 points from their remaining five matches, which include tough fixtures against Azam FC (whom they will face twice), TRA United, and JKT Tanzania.
The squad will begin its run-in in Kigoma on Saturday with a match against Mashujaa FC at Lake Tanganyika Stadium.
