Following confirmation from the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) that football authorities in Morocco have suspended international friendly matches due to health precautions, Taifa Stars players are now returning to their clubs.
This development is positive news for Yanga SC, as the club will now have a larger portion of its squad available during preparations for the final stretch of the season.
Among the Yanga players who were with the national team are captain Bakari Nondo Mwamnyeto, Ibrahim Bacca, and Mudathir Yahya.
Taifa Stars had been scheduled to play friendly matches against Rwanda and Uganda, but Ugandaβs football authorities have also confirmed the return of their squad, which includes Yanga midfielder Allan Okello, who is now expected to rejoin club duties.
Striker Prince Dube has also completed his international commitments with Zimbabwe and is expected back at club level.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Djigui Diarra is still expected to feature for his national team in a friendly match against Iran before returning to Tanzania.
