Yanga SC are reportedly set to terminate their agreements with foreign players Ecua Celestin and Mohamed Doumbia by mutual consent as the club prepares for a major squad overhaul ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Ecua was loaned to Algerian club JS Kabylie under an agreement that included an option for a permanent transfer if the club was satisfied with his performances.
However, Kabylie have reportedly decided not to exercise that option, while Yanga are also said to have no plans to retain the player for next season.
Yanga have also reportedly decided to part ways with Mohamed Doumbia, who spent the latter part of the season on loan at South African side Marumo Gallants.
As the major transfer window approaches, Yanga are expected to make significant changes to their squad, particularly in the foreign-player department, as they seek to strengthen the team for the new campaign.
Reports further suggest that the club could also part ways with winger Buba Jammeh, who joined the Tanzanian champions during the mid-season transfer window.
The anticipated changes are part of Yanga’s efforts to reshape the squad and maintain competitiveness in domestic and continental competitions next season.
