Yanga assistant coach Abdihamid Moalin has said the FIFA international break provided the squad with much-needed recovery time, and the players have now returned refreshed and ready for the final stretch of the season.
Yanga resumed training two days ago following a one-week break, with players taking part in two training sessions each day as part of preparations for the crucial matches that will conclude the campaign.
Moalin, who is working alongside Patrick Mabedi to help Yanga defend their two titles, said the league schedule has been demanding and highly competitive, making the break important for the players to recover physically and prepare for the challenges ahead.
"We gave the players a good period of rest. The aim was to allow their bodies to recover and ensure they returned with renewed energy for the remaining matches."
"Yanga is fully focused on finishing strongly in the five remaining league matches, with everyone in the squad aware of the importance of achieving positive results at this crucial stage of the season," Moalin said.
Yanga will begin their quest for a possible 15 points from the remaining fixtures with an away match against Mashujaa FC on June 13 at Lake Tanganyika Stadium in Kigoma.
