Football fans across Tanzania will today turn their attention to Rabat, Morocco, where Serengeti Boys face Senegal in the final of the 2026 CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
The historic match will be played at Moulay El Hassan Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 10:00 PM Tanzania time.
Tanzania reached the final of the tournament for the first time in their history after eliminating Egypt 4-3 on penalties following a goalless draw in the semi-finals.
This achievement continues to highlight the rapid growth of youth football in the country, particularly following Tanzania’s strong performances in CAF African Schools Football competitions in recent years.
The Serengeti Boys’ journey to the final has been impressive, with the team showing discipline, unity, and resilience at every stage of the competition.
Both Tanzania and Senegal have already qualified for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar later this year. However, tonight’s final is about continental pride and the chance to be crowned African champions.
Best of luck Serengeti Boys, best of luck Tanzania!
