Tanzania Mainland champions Yanga SC are continuing to plan for the upcoming season, with reports indicating that the club has set its sights on Power Dynamos striker Moses Shumah.
The Kenyan international forward has emerged as one of the most impressive players in the East and Southern African region after enjoying a standout season in Zambia. Shumah finished the campaign as the Zambia Super League top scorer, playing a key role in helping Power Dynamos win the league title.
Sources suggest that Yanga have already begun conducting a detailed assessment of the possibility of signing the 23-year-old striker. Club officials are reportedly attracted by his consistent goal-scoring ability and his strong performances in high-pressure matches.
Shumah made history in Zambian football after scoring 20 league goals, becoming the first player to reach that mark since 2018. He also set a new record for Kenyan players in Zambia, surpassing Jesse Were’s previous record of 18 goals in a single season.
The striker’s career trajectory has been impressive. After winning the Golden Boot in Kenya with Kakamega Homeboyz, he moved to Power Dynamos and continued his rise as one of the most feared forwards in the Zambian league.
In addition to winning the Golden Boot, Shumah was also named Power Dynamos’ Player of the Season and became a fan favourite due to his outstanding performances during their title-winning campaign.
