Midfielder Khalid Aucho is approaching the end of his contract with Singida Black Stars.
Once the current season concludes, Aucho will become a free agent after completing his one-year deal with the club.
Since his departure from Yanga SC, many observers believe his absence has left a noticeable gap in the team’s midfield structure.
Yanga later signed Moussa Balla Conte, who struggled to break into the first team, leading to a loan move during the mid-season window. The club also brought in Mohamed Damaro “Ngosha” on loan from Singida Black Stars as they looked to strengthen the midfield area.
In the current Yanga setup, Duke Abuya has become the key holding midfielder, supported by Damaro. However, Damaro’s frequent suspensions due to yellow and red cards have often disrupted his availability.
It is expected that Yanga will return to the transfer market in search of a defensive midfielder, and Khalid Aucho is among the names being considered.
Aucho originally left Yanga after contract negotiations broke down, with the player reportedly seeking a two-year deal while the club was only willing to offer a one-year extension.
