Azam FC management is reportedly in talks with former Yanga head coach Pedro Gonçalves as they look to secure his services ahead of the new season.
The club is searching for a replacement for Florent Ibenge, who is said to have already reached an agreement with the Mali Football Federation to take over the national team.
Since leaving Yanga, Gonçalves has been without a club, making a potential move to the “Wana Rambaramba” side a realistic possibility.
Yanga parted ways with Gonçalves earlier this month after their 1-0 victory over KMC.
Despite not losing a single league match during his tenure at Yanga, Gonçalves was relieved of his duties, with reports suggesting his tactical approach did not fully align with the club’s football philosophy.
