Yanga striker Laurindo Aurélio “Depu” has been included in the Angola national team squad for upcoming friendly matches against Botswana and the Central African Republic.
Depu was a key forward for Angola when the team was previously coached by former Yanga coach Pedro Gonçalves.
Despite currently not being in top form at Yanga, Angola head coach Aliou Cissé has still included him in his squad selection.
Other Yanga players who will be involved in international duties during this FIFA break include Djigui Diarra, Ibrahim Bacca, Bakari Mwamnyeto, Allan Okello, Mudathir Yahya, and Prince Dube.
Depu joined Yanga during the mid-season transfer window and made a strong start, scoring 11 goals in his first 10 matches across all competitions.
However, he later suffered an injury that kept him out for several weeks.
