Yanga SC left-back Mohamed Hussein, popularly known as “Zimbwe Jr,” has said that injuries have kept him out of several matches, but he is now recovering well and expected to return to the squad soon.
The defender, who joined Yanga in July 2025 from rivals Simba SC, had been the subject of social media rumours suggesting he was sidelined due to alleged financial disputes with the club.
Despite an earlier clarification from his manager, Zimbwe Jr has reiterated that he has no issues with Yanga’s management and that his absence has been purely due to injury.
"All those things are just propaganda. I don’t have any disputes or issues with any official. I am completely fine."
"The problem I had was an injury. That is why people who were used to seeing me regularly on the pitch started to ask questions. That is where all the confusion came from, but I have no problems with anyone. I thank God for that."
"I am now recovering well and Wanayanga should expect to see me back on the pitch soon," said Zimbwe Jr.
Zimbwe Jr has also joined other players in emphasizing that their responsibility is to help the club defend its league title for a fifth consecutive season, with a focus on winning the remaining six matches.
