Yanga’s squad arrived at Major General Isamuhyo Stadium today at match-time hours to complete their final preparations ahead of their clash against Simba tomorrow.
This session was in line with competition regulations, which allow the visiting team to finalize preparations at the match venue.
However, the condition of the pitch was not satisfactory due to ongoing heavy rains in Dar es Salaam.
In fact, if the match were scheduled to be played today, it would likely not have been possible under the current conditions.
Nevertheless, the final decision has been left to the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) and the league board, who hold authority based on the actual situation.
There was also confusion after Yanga completed their training session, when Simba arrived at the stadium.
Regulations state that the visiting team should conclude the final session last, but Simba reportedly arrived and attempted to access the pitch after Yanga had finished.
This situation led to a standoff, with Yanga initially refusing to leave the field.
