Yanga’s Head of Information and Communications, Ali Kamwe, has emphasized the importance the club places on today’s Muungano Cup final against Simba, set to be played on Wednesday, April 29 at the New Amaan Complex.
Kamwe stated that the significance of the match lies in the fact that it is a final, where the winner will walk away with the championship trophy.
He explained that given the stakes, Yanga will adopt an attacking approach and will not be concerned about conceding goals, even if the match turns into a high-scoring contest.
“This is a final—it’s different from a league match where even one point can be a good result for us. Everyone should understand that we are going to attack from start to finish.”
“We don’t care if the scoreline reaches 10 goals or more. What matters is that the Yanga team playing today’s final is completely different from the one that played on March 1.”
“The moment the referee blows the whistle to start the match, we’ll already be in their goal area,” Kamwe declared confidently.
Yanga are the defending champions and will be aiming to win their second title since the tournament was revived two years ago.
