Yanga SC head coach Pedro Goncalves has said his team is fully prepared for the Muungano Cup final against Simba, which will be played on Wednesday, April 29 at the New Amaan Complex.
Speaking during a pre-match press conference, Goncalves said that despite having different competition priorities, the club’s main objective is always to win every match.
He added that his players are ready not only to compete in the final, but also to entertain fans who will attend the match at New Amaan Complex.
“When we started the season, we set our goals. There are competitions that were our priority. Regardless of priorities, our club philosophy is to win every match no matter the competition. Since we are here, we have no choice but to win any game in front of us,” he said.
“I usually focus on the progress of my club and nothing else. I have a responsibility to help my players improve. All my players are in good condition. They are not just ready to play a final, but to entertain. We are going to entertain, not just play a final. I have high expectations from my boys,” he added.
“Yanga, whether in mainland Tanzania or Zanzibar, is at home. Everywhere we go in Tanzania, we feel at home. We have received a warm welcome everywhere. Here in Zanzibar, we are at home. I expect to see many fans at the stadium for the final. I want to celebrate with the fans tomorrow,” said Pedro.
