Yanga SC manager Walter Harrison has said preparations for the Muungano Cup final against Simba are going well, and the team is fully focused on winning the match.
Walter noted that the match is special because it brings together two clubs with a historic rivalry, but as defending champions, Yanga are determined to retain the title.
"We are here in Zanzibar with one goal only, to defend the Muungano Cup title. Our plan was clear from the beginning," he said.
"We were ready to face anyone who came our way, and fortunately the final has become a Kariakoo derby."
"It will be a special final bringing together two teams with a unique history. We are ready and we promise our fans that we will fight to defend the title," Walter added.
Yanga are expected to complete their final preparations today ahead of the match, which will be played on Wednesday at 2:15 PM.
