Since returning from injury, Young Africans (Yanga) striker Prince Dube has been in outstanding form.
Dube led Yanga to a 2-1 victory over Azam FC yesterday in the semi-final of the Muungano Cup, sending the defending champions into the final.
The Zimbabwean international striker was involved in both goals, scoring the opener after a brilliant assist from Allan Okello, also known as “Star Boy.” He later set up the second goal, which was scored by Maxi Nzengeli, again after receiving a pass from Okello.
Dube has now scored five goals in his last three matches. He is also the top scorer in the Muungano Cup, with three goals from two matches.
His partnership with Okello is becoming a major threat to opposing defenses, as two of the three goals he has scored in Zanzibar have come from Okello’s assists.
