Yanga head coach Pedro Goncalves has said his team is fully prepared for the Muungano Cup semi-final match against Azam FC, set to be played tomorrow, Saturday, at the New Amaan Complex.
Speaking to the media in Zanzibar, Goncalves stated that he expects a tough encounter, as two strong teams will be facing each other.
Pedro noted that despite the short preparation time, his team will be ready to face Azam FC with the goal of reaching the final.
"We expect a highly competitive match. Azam FC have quality players, and every time we meet, they give us a strong challenge. So we anticipate a semi-final with intense competition from both sides."
"However, despite their strength, we have prepared well to ensure we deliver a high-level performance and achieve our objectives in this important match."
"We have prepared with great focus, although we are facing the challenge of a tight schedule in this tournament alongside ongoing league matches," said Goncalves.
Yanga, the defending champions of the competition, will complete their final preparations today ahead of the clash, which will determine the first finalist before the second semi-final between Mlandege and Simba scheduled for Sunday.
