Yanga SC Media and Communications Manager Ali Kamwe has confirmed that the club has officially filed complaints against analysts and commentators accused of tarnishing the institution’s image.
Kamwe stated that the matter is now in the hands of legal authorities, and the club is waiting for the law to take its course. He emphasized that the effort to “liberate Tanzanian football” should not only focus on those making accusations without evidence, but also on ensuring accountability through proof.
Through his social media account, Kamwe posted a statement saying:
“Statements, advice and counsel… I believe they have no place at this stage. The matter has already reached legal authorities, so it is better to let the law take its course.
Once a matter is handled legally, we all know where to wait for justice. We at Yanga are waiting, and I believe journalists, analysts and football stakeholders are also waiting.
The liberation of our football is for all of us. Even ending the habit of making allegations against individuals or institutions without evidence is something that can fully protect our football from unnecessary debates.
Do not focus on only one side of liberation.”
Kamwe added that once issues are taken to legal channels, all parties should allow the justice process to proceed without interference.
