After missing around five matches due to a thigh injury, Yanga striker Laurindo Aurélio “Depu” is now fully fit, and fans could see him in action today in the Muungano Cup quarter-final against Muembe Makumbi.
Depu had made an impressive start to life at Yanga before the injury sidelined him for nearly three weeks.
In his first 10 appearances for the club, he scored 11 goals, including six in the NBC Premier League.
Yanga head coach Pedro Gonçalves is expected to give him significant minutes in this tournament to help him regain full match fitness ahead of the Kariakoo derby against Simba on May 3.
Meanwhile, fellow striker Prince Dube, who had also been sidelined with injury for several weeks, has returned to full fitness and picked up where he left off by scoring twice in Yanga’s last league match against Mbeya City.
