Yanga midfielder Mudathir Yahya has been handed a three-match suspension and fined TSh 1 million for elbowing a Pamba Jiji player during a Premier League match at CCM Kirumba Stadium.
The punishment was issued by the League Management Committee under the Tanzania Premier League Board following a meeting held on April 18.
Mudathir is set to miss the next three matches against Simba, Coastal Union, and KMC.
Despite his absence—especially in the upcoming Kariakoo Derby against Simba—Yanga will be boosted by the return of goalkeeper Djigui Diarra, whose suspension has ended, as well as attacking midfielder Pacome Zouzoua, who missed the previous derby played in Zanzibar.
