After being absent since the start of the season, experienced Yanga midfielder Salum Abubakar ‘Sure Boy’ made his long-awaited return yesterday, featuring for a few minutes in the Premier League match against Tanzania Prisons.
The match, played at the KMC Complex, saw Yanga secure a 3-0 victory and strengthen their position at the top of the league standings.
Beyond the win, it was Sure Boy’s return that brought immense joy to Yanga fans, who erupted in celebration when he was introduced onto the pitch.
Duke Abuya handed him the captain’s armband as a mark of respect for his status within the club.
After the final whistle, fans continued their tradition of showing appreciation by rewarding Sure Boy, as well as Abuya, who also impressed during the match.
