German coach Sead Ramovic has been temporarily suspended by CR Belouizdad following a serious dispute with the club’s management. His fate now awaits the decision of the club’s disciplinary committee, expected next Tuesday.
According to Xtra90, CR Belouizdad president Badreddine Bahloul invited Ramovic to an emergency meeting at 4 a.m., instructing him to attend alone.
Ramovic, however, refused the summons, claiming he had received no official notice, letter, email, or other formal communication. He requested that the meeting be conducted through proper channels and during working hours.
The conflict escalated when the club president attempted to enter the changing room while Ramovic was in a session with the players, reviewing the previous match and preparing for the next game.
The coach emphasized discipline and team focus, asking management to wait until the session concluded before interfering with the technical bench. The club leadership reportedly did not accept his stance.
Ramovic is known for his strong positions. When he joined Yanga last season, he had abruptly left South Africa’s TS Galaxy, citing dissatisfaction with the club’s practice of selling key players each season, which disrupted his plans to win titles.
Since joining CR Belouizdad, his firm approach has repeatedly led to clashes with management, yet his performance on the field has kept him at the club longer than many expected.
Despite mixed results in domestic league play, Ramovic guided CR Belouizdad to the CAF Confederation Cup semifinals this season—a first for the club.
Yanga fans still remember Ramovic fondly for his “Gusa Achia Twende Kwao” style of football, wishing their team could revive that type of play.
Recently, Yanga reinstated assistant coach Abdulhamid Moalin, who had previously worked under Ramovic.
It is now highly possible that Ramovic may become a free agent in the coming days, as CR Belouizdad may terminate his contract.
