While Yanga players have been given a few days off before returning to training in preparation for their Mainland Premier League match against Tanzania Prisons on April 4 at KMC Complex, several players have departed to join their respective national teams.
Yanga has four players in the Tanzania national team, “Taifa Stars,” squad, which is preparing for the FIFA Series friendly matches to be held in Rwanda from March 26–31 in a tournament format.
The Yanga players called up to the squad are Mohamed Hussein, Ibrahim Bacca (injured), Bakari Mwamnyeto, and Mudathir Yahya.

Additionally, Prince Dube, who is also injured, has reported to the Zimbabwe national team.
Goalkeeper Djigui Diarra has been included in Mali’s squad for a friendly match against Russia on March 31, while Lassine Kouma has been named in Chad’s squad set to face Burundi in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
