Yanga will host Azam FC on Sunday, March 15, at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in another important NBC Premier League encounter.

This season Azam FC have clearly shown their ambition to challenge for the championship. They are one of only two teams, alongside Yanga, that remain unbeaten so far in the league campaign. However, Azam have drawn six matches while Yanga have only recorded two draws.
There is good news for Yanga supporters ahead of the match, as attacking midfielder Pacome Zouzoua could return to the squad after being sidelined for nearly four weeks.
The Ivory Coast international suffered a shoulder injury during Yanga’s final CAF Champions League group-stage match against JS Kabylie, an injury that has kept him out of action since then.
Pacome has now returned to the squad after missing several matches and could become an important weapon for Yanga in the highly anticipated clash.
Yanga are expected to complete their final preparations today at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium ahead of the match, which is scheduled to kick off at 8:30 PM.
In recent seasons, matches between Yanga and Azam FC—often referred to as the Dar es Salaam derby—have become increasingly competitive, sometimes even more intense than the Kariakoo derby.
Of the two league matches Yanga lost last season, one came against Azam FC in the first-round encounter, although Yanga later won the return leg.
