Yanga central defender Dickson Job will miss the remainder of the season after recently undergoing knee surgery in South Africa.
Yanga’s Information and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, confirmed the news, which comes as a disappointment to Yanga fans who had hoped to see their vice-captain return to the squad sooner.
Kamwe explained that the initial medical assessment had indicated that Job would be sidelined for between eight and twelve weeks. However, after completing his treatment process in South Africa, it has now been confirmed that he will miss the rest of the current season.
Kamwe also urged Yanga supporters to continue praying for Job so that he can fully recover and return stronger next season.
Job joins striker Clement Mzize, who also recently underwent knee surgery in South Africa.
Mzize will also miss the remainder of the season.
