The next five Mainland Premier League matches will put defending champions Yanga to a serious test as they push to win their fifth consecutive league title.
All five fixtures will be played away from home, with matches scheduled roughly every three days β a demanding run that will require peak physical fitness and strong mental resilience from the entire squad.
Yanga arrived in Singida yesterday to face Singida Black Stars, coming straight from Zanzibar where they drew 0-0 against arch-rivals Simba.
There is little recovery time, as Yanga must return to action on March 05, while Simba will only feature in their CRDB Federation Cup match on March 07.
After the Singida fixture, Wananchi will quickly head back to Dar es Salaam for a CRDB Federation Cup clash against Polisi Tanzania on March 08.
From there, they travel to Mbeya where they are scheduled to face Tanzania Prisons at Sokoine Stadium on March 12.
Yanga will then rush back to Dar es Salaam for a crucial league encounter against Azam FC on March 15 at Azam Complex.
The journey may continue to either Tabora or Arusha for a March 18 fixture against TRA United.
Finally, Wananchi will head to Dodoma to face Mtibwa Sugar on March 21 at Jamhuri Stadium.
It is undoubtedly a challenging schedule, and head coach Pedro Goncalves will need contributions from every player in the squad to successfully navigate this demanding period.
