Yanga’s Media and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, has admitted that their upcoming Premier League clash against Simba on Sunday, March 1, at the New Amaan Complex in Zanzibar will be a difficult encounter.
Kamwe noted that Simba currently have a strong squad and have recruited well, meaning Yanga must prepare thoroughly while recognizing the quality of the opponent ahead of them.
“To be honest, our rivals Simba have a good team and they have recruited very well. They dropped points in their last match, but if you watched the game, they played well — they were just unlucky,” Kamwe said.
“I usually watch Simba’s matches because I want to learn many things from them. They did good business in the mid-season transfer window,” he added.
Kamwe also confirmed that Yanga are continuing with their preparations, mentioning that attacking midfielder Pacome Zouzoua is improving, and a final decision on his availability will be made after the remaining two training sessions.
Regarding Prince Dube, Kamwe revealed that he featured in the previous match against JKT Tanzania while carrying an injury, and he is also progressing well in his recovery.
