Yanga returned to Dar es Salaam yesterday from Ruangwa, where they secured an important 1-0 victory over Namungo FC in an NBC Premier League match.
Head coach Pedro Goncalves granted the players a one-day rest as part of a strategy to reduce fatigue after playing consecutive matches.
Today, Yanga return to training to complete preparations for another tough fixture against JKT Tanzania, which will be played on Wednesday at KMC Complex.
JKT Tanzania currently top the NBC Premier League standings with 28 points from 16 matches, while Yanga sit second with 25 points from nine games.
If Yanga win Wednesday’s match, the Citizens will officially return to the top of the league table, while still having six games in hand.
