Yanga midfielder Mohamed Damaro Camara is set to miss the final CAF Champions League group-stage match against JS Kabylie, scheduled for Sunday, February 15, at the New Amaan Complex in Zanzibar.
Yanga’s Head of Information and Communications, Ali Kamwe, confirmed that Camara has accumulated three yellow cards, which under competition regulations rule him out of the match.
“Damaro will not be part of the match due to yellow cards. He has three yellow cards, one of which he received in the game against Singida BS.”
“According to the regulations, he must miss this match, which is why he did not travel with the rest of the squad to Zanzibar.”
“However, all the other players are ready for the game. Our objective is clear — to win and qualify from Group B in style,” Kamwe said.
JS Kabylie are expected to arrive in the country today ahead of the encounter, where 90 minutes will determine Yanga’s fate in their quest for a place in the quarter-finals.
