There have been many questions from Yanga supporters regarding the future and status of attacking midfielder Celestin Ecua, who recently joined Algeria’s JS Kabylie on loan from Young Africans SC.
Next month, Yanga will host JS Kabylie in the final group-stage match of the CAF Champions League (CAFCL).
It has now been confirmed that Yanga and JS Kabylie have a contractual agreement stipulating that Ecua will not be eligible to play against his parent club in that fixture.
It should be noted that despite his move to Kabylie, Ecua remains a Yanga player unless and until JS Kabylie decide to activate the option to sign him permanently, should they be satisfied with his performances.
As a result, Ecua will watch the match against Yanga from the stands. However, JS Kabylie are free to field him in their other group matches against AS FAR and Al Ahly, and he has already been included in the squad that travelled to Morocco to face AS FAR.
