Yanga’s Media and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, has stated that preparations for the CAF Champions League match against Al Ahly, scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, January 23, at Borg El Arab Stadium, are progressing well.
Despite the cold weather in Alexandria, Kamwe said the team arrived safely yesterday and had the opportunity to conduct their first training session.
Kamwe added that today the squad will finalize preparations at Borg El Arab Stadium, where the match will take place tomorrow.
"We thank God we arrived safely here in Alexandria, and all the players are in good condition."
"The weather here is very cold, reaching 17 degrees Celsius, but I believe our players will adapt quickly as it is not their first encounter with such conditions."
"When we went to Algeria, the temperature was below 13 degrees, but our youngsters fought hard and we achieved good results."
"Today there will be a press conference, with coach Pedro Goncalves joined by Allan Okello to speak with the media about the match preparations."
"We will complete our preparations this evening before match time. I can confidently say our team is ready for this important match against Al Ahly," Kamwe said.
