Yanga goalkeeper Djigui Diarra has returned to the country to resume his duties with the Tanzanian Mainland champions.
Diarra leaves Morocco having made headlines after leading Mali to the quarterfinals of the AFCON 2025 tournament, where they were eliminated by Senegal following a 1β0 defeat.
The shot-stopper will link up with the Yanga squad in Dar es Salaam to complete preparations before traveling to Egypt to face Al Ahly.
On January 23, Yanga will be away against the historic CAF Champions League giants in a Group B third-round encounter.
The two teams will meet again a week later in Zanzibar in the fourth-round match.
Yanga need strong performances in both matches to keep their hopes of qualifying for the quarterfinals alive.
