It is reported that Yanga head coach Pedro Gonçalves wanted to assess the midfielder, who arrived from Singida Black Stars, before approving his signing.
However, following Yanga’s successful acquisition of Ugandan international Allain Okello, it is clear that plans to sign Tchakei have been shelved.
The player is now expected to return to his club Singida Black Stars to continue his duties.
Okello is expected to arrive in the country tomorrow, Monday, and will head straight to Zanzibar to join the Yanga squad.
On Tuesday, Yanga will face Azam FC in the Mapinduzi Cup final, set to be played at Gombani Stadium in Pemba.
