Angolan international striker Laurindo Aurélio “Depú,” who plays for Polish club Radomiak Radom, is awaiting official unveiling as a Yanga player after the four-time consecutive Tanzanian Mainland champions completed his transfer.
According to reports by Polish sports journalist Szymon Janczyk, Yanga have successfully signed Depú for a fee of €250,000 (over TZS 720 million).
The 25-year-old Angolan international striker arrives to reunite with his former coach Pedro Gonçalves, who is said to have recommended his signing.
The transfer is expected to bring financial benefits to Radomiak, who have also secured a clause requiring Yanga to pay a certain percentage from any future sale of the player.
Radomiak had purchased the player for €100,000, along with an additional €100,000 in bonuses, from Portuguese club Gil Vicente.
Depú joined Polish football in the summer of 2025, but faced health challenges as well as stiff competition within the squad, which limited his playing time.
In total, he played approximately 200 minutes across 10 matches, scoring one goal and providing one assist. At national team level, Depú has scored 15 goals in 18 matches for Angola under Gonçalves.
Gonçalves is the coach who handed Depú his first opportunities in Angola’s senior national team. Their previous relationship in the Angolan national side played a significant role in the completion of this transfer.
