Yanga goalkeeper Djigui Diarra, while on national duty with Mali yesterday, once again proved why he may currently be Africa’s number one goalkeeper after inspiring Mali to the quarterfinals of the AFCON 2025 tournament at the expense of Tunisia.
The match, which was decided by a penalty shootout following a 1–1 draw, saw Mali emerge victorious 3–2 on penalties, with Diarra saving two spot kicks.
Diarra continued to showcase his brilliance by walking away with the Man of the Match award.
Today, other Yanga stars Ibrahim Bacca, Dickson Job, Bakari Mwamnyeto, and Mohamed Hussein will be in action as Tanzania take on Morocco.
