Vipers FC attacking midfielder Allan Okello is reportedly urging the club’s management to allow him to join Yanga during this transfer window.
Okello was in Morocco with the Uganda national team for the AFCON 2025 tournament, and upon returning to Uganda, his representatives have been working to secure a move for him to the Wananchi.
Vipers FC rejected Yanga’s initial offer, demanding a higher fee, despite the player having only six months remaining on his contract with the club.
Yanga are willing to wait until his contract expires in June in order to sign him as a free agent.
Information from a source close to the player suggests that on Monday, his agents will hold a meeting with club president Lawrence Mulindwani to seek permission for their client to pursue a new challenge.
