Yanga have already resumed training as they prepare for the Mapinduzi Cup, which has kicked off in Zanzibar.
The team is expected to travel to Zanzibar on Saturday, January 3.
Yanga will play their first match on Sunday, January 4 against KVZ, before wrapping up their group stage fixtures on Tuesday, January 6 against TRA United.
Head coach Pedro Goncalves will use the tournament as part of his squad’s preparations during the break in domestic leagues, which have paused to allow for the ongoing AFCON 2025 in Morocco.
