Following their 2–0 defeat to Simba Queens yesterday in the Women’s Premier League (WPL), Yanga Princess have dropped to third place in the league standings.
The Princess side, coached by Edna Lema and assisted by Said Maulid “SMG,” have now played five matches, winning four and suffering their first loss of the season in yesterday’s encounter.
Lema may need to strengthen her squad, particularly in the attacking department, in order to keep pace with their main title rivals, Simba Queens and JKT Queens.
The mini transfer window is set to open on Thursday, and Yanga Princess have already completed the signing of winger Aisha Djaffar. Further reinforcements are expected during the window.
