Yanga president Engineer Hersi Said appears to have dropped a “code” hint regarding the possible signing of Vipers FC attacking midfielder Allan Okello from Uganda.
Hersi said he is a big admirer of the midfielder and has followed him closely on several occasions, even traveling to Uganda to watch him as far back as 2019.
Without mentioning his name directly, Hersi revealed that during the January mini transfer window or the June window, Yanga will sign a player from Uganda.
“I really like Allan Okello. I followed him for a long time before he went to Algeria. I remember in 2019 I went to Uganda to watch him, Bobosi, and Mustapha Kizza,”
“I want to tell Yanga fans that if it’s not in January, then in June we will bring in a player from Uganda,” Hersi said.
Okello is reported to be a priority target for Yanga as the club looks to strengthen its attacking midfield (number 10) position.
