Today marks the birthday of Yanga’s right-back, Yao Kouassi “Jeshi.”
Yao has been sidelined for approximately six months while recovering from an injury after undergoing knee surgery at the end of last season.
The Ivory Coast international has now fully recovered and returned to training, and is currently waiting for the January 1 opening of the mid-season transfer window in order to be officially registered.
Wananchi are eagerly anticipating his return, as he is set to challenge Israel Mwenda, who has made the right-back position his own throughout the period Yao was absent.
