The Tanzania national team (Taifa Stars) have arrived safely in Morocco ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals, which are set to begin on Sunday, December 21.
The team arrived from Cairo, Egypt, where they had been in a training camp for approximately two weeks and played a number of friendly matches.
Four Yanga players will be part of head coach Miguel Gamondi’s squad, with the coach having promised to guide Taifa Stars to the knockout stages in this year’s tournament.
Mohamed Hussein, Ibrahim Bacca, Dickson Job, and Bakari Mwamnyeto have all been included in the squad.
Taifa Stars have been drawn into Group C and will begin their campaign on Tuesday, December 23, against Nigeria’s Super Eagles, as they look to achieve a historic positive result in the competition.
