Yanga’s Media and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, confirmed yesterday that striker Clement Mzize has resumed light training as part of his rehabilitation program following knee surgery.
Kamwe offered encouraging news to Yanga fans, revealing that the forward could be ready to rejoin the squad by late January 2026 or early February.
Meanwhile, defender Yao Kouassi has fully recovered from his injury and has begun specialized fitness training. He too is expected to return to full team action by late January 2026 or early February.
The return of both players may come just in time for Yanga’s upcoming CAF Champions League fixtures against Al Ahly, scheduled around the same period.
Yanga are also expected to reinstate Yao into their registered squad after leaving him out of the previous window due to his knee surgery in May this year.
