Transfer rumors have already started gaining momentum ahead of the mid-season window, which is expected to open next week on December 15 and remain active until January 16, 2026.
Yanga President, Engineer Hersi Said, has confirmed that there will be squad improvements in the mid-season window to strengthen areas that have shown challenges, based on recommendations from the technical bench.
The first area that has sparked major discussion among Yanga fans is the striking department, which is also where head coach Pedro Goncalves has recommended reinforcement.
The name of striker Laurindo Dilson Maria Aurelio, popularly known as **Depu**, has been mentioned as Goncalves’ top target.
Depu, an Angolan national, currently plays for Radomiak in Poland's first division. He has previously featured for clubs such as Petro de Luanda (Angola), Gil Vicente (Portugal), and Vojvodina (Serbia).
Depu has also represented the Angola national team, scoring 15 goals in 18 matches during Goncalves' tenure as head coach.
However, should Yanga decide to sign Depu, they may be forced to release one of their foreign players to create a slot for him.
At the same time, Yanga will also need another foreign-player slot to register defender **Yao Kouassi**, who is ready to rejoin the squad after recovering from injury.
Other areas reported to need strengthening include the defensive midfield position and the attacking midfield role (number 10).
