In the first-round matches of the CAF Champions League group stage, clubs did not display the official competition logo on their jerseys due to delays in the delivery process.
CAF has now distributed the official badges to all participating clubs, and starting from the second-round matches, the logos will appear on the left shoulder of the jerseys.
When Yanga unveiled their CAFCL kits, debates arose claiming they had used last season’s badge, while rivals Simba boasted about having the new one. In reality, Yanga used the previous season’s badge because they had not yet received the new official version.
Similarly, even their rivals Simba had only used a ‘downloaded’ version of the CAF badge, which was also not the correct one.
CAF has now issued the official competition logos, and they will begin appearing on team kits in the upcoming matches later this week.
