Yanga has climbed to the top of the league standings after defeating KMC 4–1 in a match played at the KMC Complex.
The defending champions dominated the second half after being held to a 1–1 draw in the first 45 minutes.
It was Maxi Nzengeli who opened the scoring for Yanga early in the match, finishing a pass from Pacome Zouzoua. However, KMC equalized shortly afterward through Daruweshi Saliboko, who capitalized on a rebound from goalkeeper Djigui Diarra.
Substitutions made by Yanga coach Pedro Goncalves in the second half—bringing on Andy Boyeli, Celestin Ecua, and Shekhan Khamis—proved decisive, as Yanga added three more goals. Pacome scored once, while Boyeli netted twice.
Ecua and Boyeli caused major problems for the KMC defense, working together effectively in both of Boyeli’s goals.
This crucial win takes Yanga to the top of the standings for the first time this season.
