The group stage draw for the CAF Champions League (CAFCL) and CAF Confederation Cup (CAFCC) is scheduled to take place on November 3 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
For the first time in history, Tanzania will have four teams involved in the draw: Yanga and their rivals Simba in the Champions League, while Azam FC and Singida BS have reached the Confederation Cup stage.
So far, 14 teams have secured qualification for the Champions League group stage, with Pyramids and RS Berkane set to complete their second-leg fixtures on November 1.
The teams that have qualified so far for the CAF Champions League are: Al Ahly, Mamelodi Sundowns, Esperance, TP Mazembe, Yanga, Simba, Al Hilal, Petro Atletico, AS FAR, MC Alger, Rivers United, JS Kabylie, Stade Malien, FC Lupopo and Power Dynamos.
Yanga are expected to be placed in Pot 2 in the draw, possibly alongside their rivals Simba, Al Hilal and Pyramids.
