Yanga’s 2–0 win over Silver Strikers not only sent them into the CAF Champions League group stage — it also triggered the “Mama Goal” bonus incentive.
After the match, Yanga pocketed TSh 20 million from the bonus program initiated by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan.
The bonus was handed over by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Gerson Msigwa.
In total, Yanga have collected TSh 35 million in the qualifying rounds — having won 5–0 on aggregate in the preliminary round against Wiliete SC and 2–1 on aggregate against Silver Strikers.
