Yanga Vice-Captain Dickson Job has expressed his gratitude to the team’s fans in Malawi who turned out in large numbers to welcome the squad at the airport and escort them to their hotel.
Job said the players deeply appreciate the support shown by the fans and feel a great responsibility to repay them with a victory against Silver Strikers tomorrow.
"We thank all Tanzanians who came out in large numbers to welcome us at the airport and escort us to the hotel," said Job.
"We know we owe our fans a great performance and we are determined to do well in the match against Silver Strikers tomorrow."
"We are fully preparing for this match. We believe it will be a tough game, but as players, it’s our duty to be ready and perform well," he added.
Yanga will complete their final training session today at Bingu Stadium ahead of the much-anticipated CAF Champions League clash in Malawi.
The Tanzanian champions are expected to receive massive support, as in addition to Tanzanians living in Malawi, more than 50 buses carrying fans are expected to arrive in the country today.
