Yanga’s right-back Yao Kouassi has resumed team training, a positive sign that he is close to returning to full fitness.
Yao has been sidelined for a long period while recovering from a knee surgery.
The Yanga management was forced to remove him from the registered players list as he required more time to regain fitness.
He is expected to be ready to rejoin the squad when the mid-season transfer window opens on December 15.
It should be remembered that Yanga signed central defender Frank Assink on a six-month loan deal, anticipating that by December Yao would be ready to return, allowing Assink to go back to his parent club, Singida BS.
